RibAmerica announces Labor Day lineup

The 13th Annual Rib America Festival returns to Downtown Indianapolis during Labor Day Weekend, Aug. 29 to Sept. 1. Live performances include Peter Frampton, Ted Nugent, Dennis DeYoung (the Music of STYX), Jonny Lang, .38 Special, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Blind Melon.

 

The Rib America Festival is a fun filled family event featuring award winning barbeque, music, and more. The festival is located at Military Park located in White River State Park in downtown Indianapolis at corner of New York and West Streets.

Admission is free before 5 p.m. on Friday and before 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, but a $5 charge for general admission will be charged upon entry after those times. Children 12 and under have no admission charge. Food, beverage and game tickets will be available for purchase on-site.

 

2008 Award-Winning Rib Vendors include Chicago’s BBQ, Squealer’s BBQ, Pigfoot BBQ, Willingham’s World Champion BBQ, Joey’s Texas Thunder BBQ, Sgt. Oink’s BBQ, Smokin’ Joe’s BBQ, Coyote Roadhouse BBQ, Buddy’s BBQ and Mojo’s BBQ.

 

2008 sponsors for the event include Bud Light, Coca-Cola, Captain Morgan, Jose Cuervo, Smoking Loon, Pepperwood Grove, Comcast, IUPUI and the 97.1 Hank FM Advantage Health Solutions Sky Concert.
